What the deck rarely brings to the board
A department arrives with ninety correct slides and leaves the room without a decision. The analysis was right. What was missing is what a board actually decides on: comparable options, side by side, measured against the same criteria.
So the work starts before the first slide. BR2 writes, in one sentence, what the board is being asked to do with the material: approve, authorise, take note or choose. Then it checks the approval limits, the quorum and who reads before the meeting.
Two to four options, on the same scale
BR2 separates context from choice and builds the real options over the same horizon: cost, timing, risk and what each one closes off. Doing nothing is one of them, and it is the option that usually goes missing.
An option that exists only to lose gives away who wrote it. When the room notices, it starts doubting everything else.
One slide, one question
Each title states the answer, not the topic. The chart is there to confirm the title, not for the reader to decode on their own.
The main block runs between twelve and eighteen pages. Everything else goes to an annex indexed by the question it answers, plus a one-page summary for those who read on the way to the meeting.
Rehearsed against the hard question
Before the session, BR2 runs a rehearsal with hostile questions, asked by someone who knows the board. What does not survive the question comes out.
Every expected question points to an annex page, by number. An annex nobody can find in the room does not exist.
Measured by the minutes, not by compliments
After the meeting, BR2 compares what the minutes record with the request written at the start, and logs the questions nobody anticipated.
That list, with an owner and a date, feeds the next board pack. Praise for the deck is not a signal; the minutes saying what the first sentence asked for is.

Questions before hiring
How many slides should a board presentation have?
Between twelve and eighteen pages in the main block, plus an annex indexed by question. The number is not the rule; one question per page is. Anything that does not answer a question the board will ask goes to the annex.
Can you work in English with a board in Brazil?
Yes. We work in English and Portuguese, and meetings in English are standard. The board pack can be delivered in one language or in both, with the same structure in each.
Do you handle confidential board material?
Yes. Confidentiality terms are agreed before any file is shared, and we never show client decks, anonymised or not. In the first message, describe the meeting, the date and the decision; do not attach board documents.
How long does a board deck take?
It depends on the length, the number of alternatives and the date the pre-read must go out. The schedule is built backwards from the session date and comes in writing with the proposal, before any work starts.
How much does board presentation design cost?
It depends on the size of the main block and the annex, the number of alternatives to build, whether there is a rehearsal and how many language versions you need. The proposal states the price next to the scope; there is no fixed price list.
